Sort through and organise last season’s clothes
Warning: This first step takes the longest (and is often when many of us give up, because organising your closet just feels too hard).
We’d recommend making your way through your wardrobe, in sections, rather than dealing with everything all at once, and creating three piles for different types of clothes.
Pile #1: Keep (for clothes you’ll be wearing this Winter)
Pile #2: Donate (for clothes that no longer fit you, or that you’ve been holding on for weird sentimental reasons but most likely won’t wear again!)
Pile #3: Throw (for clothes that are badly stained or torn, and can’t be worn or donated. It’s important to note that there are heaps of local organisations in every city that can help you find sustainable ways to discard ruined clothing and/or reuse the fabric for patching up other clothes, creating dishcloths out of, and so much more. Be creative with your old clothes [hello cleaning rags or affordable mends!] before choosing to throw them in the trash!).

Find yourself some drawer and shelf organisers
ICYMI: We’re obsessed with effortless organisation. So, once you’ve divided your clothes into three (likely big) piles, we’d recommend investing in some cute drawer and shelf organisers to help you keep things neat and easy to access.

No-slip coat hangers are the GOAT of closet organisation
They really are. We wouldn’t have created our own No-Slip Flocked Hangers if we didn’t believe this to be true.
Our No-Slip Flocked Coat Hangers are sturdy, slimline, and will give you up to 50% closet hanging space back. Which is ideal if you kinda failed at step 1 and weren’t able to cull many of your clothes. They’re available in both gold and silver tops and our custom mushroom colour actually lifts your wardrobe space, making it brighter and less doomy and gloomy.
Bonus: they’ll ensure your jackets, tops and silky garments won’t slip straight off post-hang).
We also have No-Slip Flocked Pant/Skirt Hangers that ensure your new wardrobe looks uniform AND have adjustable clips to help clip even the most annoying of bottoms.

Ensure your Wintery items are easy to access
Are you prone to just keeping all your clothes in the same spot, all year round? Do you find yourself cursing under your breath when you build up a sweat trying to reach that knit that only surfaces once June hits? Yeah. We’ve been there too. Our top tip is to rejig your wardrobe when the season changes, so the items you’ll likely be turning to on the reg will be super easy to access. Always.
- Make a list of what you’ll need this season
We’re all pretty good at thinking we need to start from scratch every time a new season hits. Summer arrives, and we’re keen to shop new swimwear and tote bags. Then Winter arrives and we’re keen on finding new knits, coats, and accessories for nights out. But this is your reminder to only shop those items you truly need this Winter. And you should know exactly what those are after organising your closet. Convenient, huh?
